Official Wedding Registration on Lake Como

We take care of all the arrangements!
Lake Como is a true oasis of luxury, romance, and tranquility. For centuries, it has attracted millions of travelers, famous personalities, aristocrats, and, of course, couples in love who dream of uniting their hearts in this beautiful place. And you could be one of them!
Lake Como is perfect for both intimate and grand wedding ceremonies. The choice is yours!
While it’s possible to organize your wedding or registration on Lake Como independently, it requires time and effort: gathering documents, travel, and coordination. That’s why we offer our agency's services to simplify the process.
Our team is based in Italy, ensuring transparent pricing and full control over every stage of the preparation.
It's important to note that Italy has strict regulations regarding wedding ceremonies. Outdoor registrations are not always permitted, and each town hall has its own rules on timing and venue availability. We are familiar with all legal requirements and are ready to assist you.
We recommend starting your wedding preparations at least three months in advance. Here’s a step-by-step overview:
1. Initial Consultation

We check available dates for your wedding and clarify the timeline for submitting documents to the Russian Consulate in Italy to obtain a Nulla Osta, a required document confirming that there are no obstacles to your marriage. We handle the entire process within 5-7 days without your presence. The cost is € 600 per couple.

2. Documents required for the Nulla Osta:

- International passport (copy of the first page)

- Russian internal passport (copies of pages 2-7, 14-15)

- Birth certificate (copy)

- Archival certificate of marital status (original)

- Divorce certificate (if applicable)

- Archival certificate of name change (if the surname was changed in a previous marriage)

3. Legalization of the Nulla Osta

We manage this process without your participation.

4. Submitting documents to the town hall.

Once the Nulla Osta is legalized, we send the documents to the town hall and complete all necessary paperwork on your behalf.

5. Your presence.

You will need to be present in the commune two days before the wedding to sign the declaration.

6. Receiving the marriage certificate.

After the ceremony, you will receive a marriage certificate, which is valid in Russia. We will legalize it in the Prefecture and mail it to you. If desired, you can order express delivery for an additional fee.
A few details about the official ceremony ✍🏻
- The ceremony is conducted by the mayor or a town hall representative in Italian, with an official interpreter. It lasts about 30 minutes.

- Two witnesses are required for the marriage registration. If you arrive alone, we can provide witnesses at no extra cost.

- The ceremony includes a ring exchange and signing of the marriage register.

- Weddings are held either in the town hall or on specially approved venues.

- Weddings typically take place from Monday to Friday, though some town halls allow ceremonies on weekends.

- The Nulla Osta and legalized marital status certificate are valid for six months.
